The nursery features 3 large rooms and a balcony. One room is especially for playing, and includes a ball-pool, see-saw, swings, and other toys. Another room is for sleeping and naptime. The third room includes a kitchen and eating area for breakfast and lunchtimes. There is also another small kitchen area and bathroom facilities. The nursery can have 20 children, but usually averages 18 per day. Children ages 3 months to 2 and a half years can play with us in the Nursery.
Up to 60 children, age 3 to 6 years, can come and visit us five days a week (six in the summertime) to participate in our Kindergarten activities. It is here that these small ones can hear about Jesus maybe for the first time and learn to pray before meal times. Our colorful rooms and toys help them to develop their creativity. The facility includes a large great room with play equipment including a huge slide and playhouse. There are 3 classrooms and a kitchen complete with an eating area for their meal times. The children visit the big garden and playground everyday and can spend their youthful energy outside climbing, playing, running, and sliding. They can also play in the jumping castle and visit the outside shop/kiosk for snacks and refreshments. One major goal of our staff is to teach the children how to live in peace and cherish healthy relationships. We want them to grow up to be a generation of peacemakers, and a generation that knows God and honors him.
Beit Al Liqa is committed to the community and the local churches in the area. We have opened our doors for various community and church activities, including conferences, meetings, lecture series, and workshops. Recent examples include a 3-day church conference, a speaker engagement concerning religious topics, and a 3-day revival meeting. We also sponsor movie nights open to the community, praise and worship meetings twice a month, youth meetings, lectures on various Christian topics such as parent/child issues, and counseling and educational speakers. Around Christmas time, we have a three month women's craft workshop.
