This is the place where it is supposed to be erected one day – our so called PeaceArk! It is very much on our hearts to build up a huge hall with an extremely high ceiling as an indoor adventure playground! A place where families and kids like to stay also during the cold months of the year. A place filled with fellowship, love and a feeling of security.
During the summer months lots of activities are going on in our beautiful garden: Kids play, adults relax and talk to each other. Many of them spend up to five days per week on our compound. This is no surprise as the people from within the Palestinian Territories are not allowed to cross over to Israel without permission. And most of them receive this document only around Easter or Christmas. Therefore, they spend their time in Bethlehem Province. But in this small and walled in world of 40 square kilometers there are nearly no options for free time activities. Thus the people come to us and enjoy their "vacation" in our beautiful and green oasis.
Beit Al Liqa' is an important place in our town, a location of meetings for the young and the young at heart! We are delighted that they feel so comfortable at Beit Al Liqa'. While sitting under the fig tree or around one of the small tables it is easy to start a conversation. Our facility became already the second home for a lot of guests.
We plan to build the PeaceArk so that many of these contacts and friendships are not disrupted during winter time. We are longing for a place where the children of Bethlehem can play during the cold season.

Electricity in the Palestinian Areas is frequently insufficient. In our neighborhood in particular we commonly have power outages and the electric current is unstable. In order to be able to carry on despite these problems we are hoping to purchase our own generator. This project would cost us US$ 17.500.
