Prayerletter

No. 121 - April 2012

This past month was marked by a long Easter season, a large number of guests, a permanently packed PeaceArk and Operation Christmas (or Easter) Child kids’ events.

From April 1-10, our daughter Melody came over for a visit, bringing along her entire Bible College class, a long-planned sort of graduation trip. We had a fantastic time together and we will treasure these memories for months to come. The weekend after, we celebrated Easter (along with the Eastern Church) and closed our Centre for a couple of days. Then it was back to our regular programs along with several visitors staying at our guesthouse, a number of tour groups and the PeaceArk day-to-day operations. We are very grateful to have finally found the right person to fill the position of PeaceArk manager. In early April, Yousef Khoury joined us at Beit Al Liqa‘ and has been doing a marvelous job from the start. Again, we welcomed a great number of school classes in our indoor playground and on several afternoons hosted birthday parties. These past few weeks were filled with work on our ‘old’ outdoor playground getting it ready for the long summer season ahead of us. In early May, we will open our garden to the public again.
